Tuesday @ Concetto before (finally) catching The Lego Movie! The actually sign looks pretty weird when it's not lit up lol:
The menu is categorised into the different elements: Earth (everything of the earth), Land (veggies and meat) and Seas (fish and shellfish):
Prawn Aglio (S$10.90) - supposedly adapted from Saveur's Angel Hair Pasta, it's made up of tagliatelle, tiger prawns & sakura ebi. The tagliatelle feels like mee pok and overall it's too dry and it isn't as yummy as it looks :( I prefer Saveur's:
Crab Risotto (S$12.90) - a chef's recommendation consisting of crab meat & crispy rice crackers. The risotto's creamy and flavourful with a decent amount of moisture, and the rice crackers provide an extra crunch to it. The crab meat portion could be more generous imo because once it's been mixed in together with the rice we could barely taste it anymore. Overall the dish is a little too salty as well:
Pork Ravioli (S$10.90) - with borlotti bean ragu and pork broth. The broth is tasty and the filling-to-skin ratio of the ravioli is just nice. However it was my least favourite dish of the day because of a really cheesy taste within the ravioli which I hated:
Pistachio Panna Cotta (S$6.90) - a light dessert consisting of pistachio crumbles which we loved! The crumbs at the top are tinged with a kiss of salt:
I was expecting more from Concetto given how much I like most of the food over at Saveur, but besides the friendly and fast service, nothing else truly impressed me that day :(
