T'was Friday's brunch @ The Missing Pan with my Mum before I headed to work!:
Cafe Mocha (S$6.50) and Cafe Latte (S$5.50):
In-house Bircher Muesli (S$10) - consists of yoghurt, muesli, Granny Smith, puffed brown rice, oats, maple syrup, nuts, and cinnamon. A very smooth version of muesli as the yogurt isn't too thick and everything else just taste really good together:
62 Degrees Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon (S$22) - 2 eggs with avocado spread on sourdough, topped with seaweed crumbs and in-house hollandaise. I'm not a fan of avocado so this combination tastes a little weird to me hahaha:
Close-up of the salmon! Mum loved this, but I still prefer raw/semi-cooked ones:
And the jiggly-wiggly egg. Yumyum!:
French Toast Salpicon (S$19) - with chicken, spinach and mushroom stuffed in a thick french toast, banana nuggets, mixed berries (here we have mangoes, strawberries, bananas, kiwis and dragonfruits) and strawberry-smoked maple syrup. It didn't appeal to me initially because the thought of a sweet + savoury combination seemed really weird but I was wrong!
From the start till the end, my Mum kept saying: "Wah the fried bananas and the chicken damn nice hor?!" Hahahah yes and I loved the fluffy toast. The syrup is so special too! It tastes like strawberry jam hehe:
A little visually unappealing, but take a look at what's inside:
