[ADVERT] Popeyes launches Creole and Cajun Chicken Sandwiches!

Famous for its signature hand-battered, fried-up-fresh chicken and seafood, Popeyes is expanding its menu with the addition of a new International sandwich platform, Cajun and Creole Chicken Sandwiches.
I was glad to be able to have this opportunity to be one of the first few people to try these 2 new items during their soft launch @ Popeyes Bugis Village last Saturday! :)

So, presenting to you.........




1. Creole Chicken Sandwich
When you’re in a deep, rich mood, try this - a mild crispy chicken fillet marinated with onion, garlic, red and black pepper. Served on a soft round bun with lettuce, tomato and a creamy creole sauce that is seasoned with onion, garlic, peppers, tomato and parsley:







I really like the creole sauce in the sandwich which has this tangy tomato flavour. I hesitated initially because it looked mayonnaise-y to me and I hate mayonnaise. The chicken is very tender and juicy and that's because Popeyes uses only fresh chicken (not frozen ones!) and they marinate their chicken over 12 hours.

2. Cajun Chicken Sandwich
A mild crispy chicken fillet marinated with onion, garlic, red and black pepper, served on a soft round bun with lettuce, tomato and a creamy spicy spread seasoned with a blend of red chili peppers. When you’re in the mood for hot and spicy flavours, this is just right for you:









I find this okay, it is mildly spicy but somehow not as impressive at the Creole Sandwich possibly because the creole sauce feels more flavourful to me. Those who love anything spicy in their food will definitely still love this though! It was a 1:1 vote that day haha.
