SELFISH GENE CAFE + MAYOR OF TINY TOWN + THE PLAIN CAFE

Last Wednesday's lunch (Part I) at Selfish Gene Cafe:

Iced green tea latte:

Our Breakfast Platter (S$15.80) with a really thick and juicy pork sausage, and I love the toast! It tastes like garlic bread:

Continued to Part II of our lunch at The Mayor of Tiny Town which was just around the corner. The exterior and interior of the cafe look really white, neat and tidy, but there isn't any signboard with its name. We would have missed it if not for the blackboard placed outside:

The staff there were really friendly and seemed really excited to promote their food haha:

Italian Minestrone soup (~S$5) - not too bad, but tastes just like the canned ABC/Alphabets soup you can find from supermarkets:

The MOTT Aglio Olio is a really huge disappointment :( The presentation looks really delicious but it tastes nothing like the usual aglio olios from everywhere. The pasta is too oily and hard in my opinion:

They serve food like fish & chips and chicken cutlet rice at an affordable and decent price, but I really won't recommend this place to those who are looking to satisfy their taste buds :(

Lunch Part III at The Plain Cafe, located a few shops down the Selfish Gene Cafe:

This wall menu is the only menu they have, which I think is really inconvenient (especially for short people like me who have to strain their necks to see) because it is located pretty high up:

My Generra mocha (S$5) which I loooove a lot! It's basically cafe mocha infused with a twist of orange. And being someone who really likes chocolates that contain orange essence in them, this drink is perfect for me:

Yuzu soda - the Yuzu taste is too strong and it isn't really to our liking :/ I don't think the fizz and the flavour go well together.

DAMN ACT AGAIN HAHAHA:

You can visit The Plain cafe for desserts like scones, and they have all-day breakfasts too! Too bad we were pretty full already haha.

Saw this sign at the shop beside which I find pretty hilarious:

Have a good week everyone! :)
