The Providore @ Mandarin Gallery

Last Saturday's dinner @ 3pm hahaha and it's probably one of the rare times I didn't want to have breakfast food:

Orange Hot Chocolate (S$6.50):

Peppermint Hot Chocolate (S$6.50) - I really really liked this!! The amount of peppermint is just right:

Sautéed Prawns (S$14.50) - with chorizo, dried chilli and capirete sherry vinegar. The prawns are really crunchy and juicy, and the spiciness of the chilli together with the vinegar further enhance the tastes of the prawns:

Grilled Mackerel Crostini & Crispy Bacon (S$18.50) - the mackerel's okay, just a little dry. We didn't like the toast at all; it's rock hard especially at the sides. Wanted to pair the bread with the mackerel but it's impossible:

Lobster Mac & Cheese (S$22.50) - this is highly raved by many, however I didn't find it anything out of the norm :/ The lobster chunks are pretty generous and overall the dish isn't too gelat, but other than that there's nothing special about this. My favourite mac & cheese is still the one from Five & Dime!:
