The Plain @ Craig Road | My 24th birthday!

Haven't had a proper food post in a long while! And I don't really have the time to cafe-hop recently :(

This was dinner @ The Plain 2 weeks ago:













Cafe Latte (S$4.20) - I really love their coffee! Especially the Cafe Mocha (S$4.70) I had before my friend came hehe.



Humpty Dumpty with Vegemite Soldiers (S$7.50) - dippy eggs with vegemite on buttered toast sticks. I didn't have a good experience with a similar dish at PARK cafe, but pictures of this look so good I had to try. The vegemite's reeeally salty but I quite like it, and the eggs are boiled so perfectly. I love dipping my toasts into eggs hehehe I always do that whenever I go to Ya-Kun etc:







Darling's Eggs (S$7.50) - poached egg with ham, cheese & roma tomatoes on sourdough toast:

Anywayyyyy it was my 24th birthday on 5th June! Didn't have an extravagant celebration or anything, or even a proper dinner on the actual day because I spent the night dancing :(

Had an advanced birthday dinner/treat from TVT @ My Awesome Cafe + I Am Cafe. Thanks for the macarons too!!:







Cafe Latte - coffee's so-so:



Croissant + Scrambled Eggs + Smoked Salmon (S$8.50) - they were out of croissants (siiigghhh) so we had bread instead which isn't comparable of course. Overall the taste isn't too bad, but presentation could be a lot better - this looks like something anyone can make at home for probably half the price:



Croissant + Scrambled Eggs + Ham & Cheese (S$8.50) - ditto the above... and the ham looks even more pathetic :(



It's really not as awesome as its name suggests :(

Fries with Cheese dip (~S$8) and Rainbow Cake (~$8) - love how the rainbow cake has cream cheese frosting instead of the usual whipped cream! And the cheese dip for the fries is really yummy too... but I'd still prefer it with shoestring fries:

At the stroke of midnight I received a call from Windy to look out of my bedroom window, and there he was cycling on a bike like a kid, with balloons hanging from the back hahaha. I've always wanted to have my own bicycle so he decided to get it for my birthday present!:

A hasty dinner on the actual day with my family at Swensens @ JP before rushing off for rehearsals:





Kriss bought cakes for me and we celebrated after dance! Thank you all for staying back just for this!!:





Christabel treated me to lunch at Wimbly Lu for a belated birthday celebration :* My third time here and still loving all their desserts:





And finally, my #brunchdategirls surprised me at Spathe Public House last week, although the server kinda screwed the surprise up hahahah it's okay!! Can't wait for our Taiwan trip! :D









Thank you all! I had a wonderful birthday week, though I feel so guilty now because the amount of desserts I've eaten was craaaazy D:

In other news, my team (Timeless) will be competing in the Finals of TRDO Chapter 4 this evening 7pm @ Kallang Theatre! Head to down watch if you can!! Tickets are still on sale at S$20 :)
