The Clueless Goat @ Thomson Road | The Lab SG

20th Feb: It was Day 3 of CNY and I was craving for brunch food already hahaha. Found a really new cafe (it was only about a week old then!) that was opened for business that day!:

Lychee Mint Iced Tea (S$6) - I tend to avoid ordering fruit teas from cafes as they are usually loaded with sugar syrup, but this is really refreshing and not too sweet!:

Roast Beef Sandwich (S$9.50) - toasted ciabatta bread with generous slices of roast beef, caramalised onions, melted Swiss and mustard aioli. I also added scrambled eggs (S$2) on the side which came at a smaller-than-expected portion haha:

British Breakfast Platter (S$13.80) - choice of eggs (sunny side-up/scrambled/poached) with chorizo, roasted tomato, streaky bacon, hashbrown, sauteed mushrooms and choice of toast. Really reasonably priced, and I loved the hashbrown and bacon!:

Found a pineapple at the back of the cafe. Hehehe HUAT AH!:

And the following day's dinner @ The Lab:

Heisenberg (S$6.50) - a refreshing mixture of lime, mint, orange & blue curacao. The curacao comes in a syringe so you can determine the amount of liquer you want in the drink. I find the drink a little too sweet overall:

Citrus Red Velvet Latte (S$5.50) - this is actually orange-infused hot chocolate with a fancy name haha. But I enjoyed it anyway:

The Lab Drumlets (S$9) - coated with The Lab's special sauce and comes with either Lychee Sweet Chilli dip (which we chose) or Blue Cheese dip. There are also 3 levels of spiciness to choose from. Most of the drumlets weren't fully cooked so they were really bloody :(

Russion Roulade (S$16) - hand-rolled chicken fillet, braised and grilled with Dutch carrot and asparagus. Drizzled with sweet potato reduction and accompanied by grilled baby potatoes and bell peppers. The chicken's really tender and juicy, and I like how the purple sweet potato reduction is so aesthetically pleasing:

Heisenberger (S$15) - 6oz of homemade patty with turkey bacon, caramelised onions, tomato coulis, mesclun salad and topped with melted blue cheese (I got mine w/o). Also comes with natural hand-cut unsalted sweet potato fries. The bacon's a little hard and dry for me, but everything else tastes okay. I loved the fries!:
