[ADVERT] Atmosphere Bistro @ East Coast Parkway

Had a brunch tasting last weekend at Atmosphere Bistro (it was our 2nd tasting that morning, in fact haha. The 1st was at FYR!), situated at Parkland Green, right beside the beach of East Coast Park. It is a family-oriented Bistro by day and a Bar by night. Part of the reason for its name was of course the scenery and ambience:

Kirin Frozen Beer (S$13) - this is one of their most popular alcoholic drinks, featuring different flavoured (we had Calpis and Cranberry) fruit beers with frozen foam at -5 degrees C that keeps the beer cold for around 30 minutes. I am not a fan of beer and never will be, but the guys really loved them:

One of the cafe's selling points is their 3D latte art which is pretty rare in Singapore. The only other cafe I know that does this is Chock Full of Beans.

Ordered an Iced Mint Mocha (~S$7) which came with this really cute animal (I still can't figure out what it is haha) art. The mint was a little overpowering for me but overall still enjoyable in the heat:

Truffle Fries (S$9.80) - shoestring fries tossed with truffle oil and grated parmesan. Crispy, with the right amount of truffle.
I think I'm starting to get sick of truffle fries... they're everywhere:

Chicken Bolognese (S$14.80) - sautéed spaghetti with minced chicken and tomato sauce. A very plain and basic pasta which made its price a little unjustifiable:

Vegetarian Pizza (S$18.80) - a 12" thin-crust pizza with sliced zucchini, eggplant and tomato. I refuse to eat meatless pizzas so I didn't try this haha:

Atmosphere Classic Breakfast (S$19.80) - a typical breakfast set with your choice of eggs (scrambled/ sunny side-up), bacon, sausage, sautéed mushrooms, baked beans, brioche toast and grilled tomato. The scrambled eggs were nicely done and according to Windy, the sausage was the yummiest on the plate:

Turkey Ham Egg Benedict (S$16.90) - poached eggs, brioche toast and turkey ham, topped with hollandaise sauce. I really liked the crumbly toast and the yolks were runny (the whites' texture was slightly watery though), but I would love it if there were more on the plate than just a side of greens with ONE cherry tomato.... :(

Atmosphere Molten Lava Cake (S$12.80) - warm chocolate lava cake served with a scoop of Vanilla ice-cream. This was one of their signature desserts but unfortunately the chocolate had some trouble flowing out which made the cake slightly dry. I had to push the 'lava' out to get this shot:

I thought the prices of the food were pretty steep given their portions and the individual ingredients used. Service was good (though the use of the iPad for placing orders created some confusion) and company was awesome too! :)
